IN-FLIGHT VARIABLE PITCH "IDROVARIO" PROPELLERS

Alisport is an aviation leader in the gliders manufacture and in composite structures and mechanical components. Our propeller division produces the "IDROVARIO" series of hydraulically- controlled variable-pitch carbon-fiber propellers.

The propeller blades are highly reliable, have an excellent safety record, very low mass and rotational inertia, and exceptional performance and durability. All blades are now manufactured from carbon-fiber and include the latest prepreg technology.

The hydraulic controls are the most advanced, lightweight, and reliable units currently available. Several choices exist: a manual thumbscrew control, electro-hydraulic units with switch or digital control, or a traditional constant-speed governor.

"IDROVARIO" propellers and the hydraulic controls, are perfectly suited for installation on virtually all two-stroke or four-stroke engines.

This latest generation of blades has structures comprised entirely of epoxy pre-impregnated carbon-fiber fabrics:

significant weight reduction resulting in lower stresses due to centrifugal forces and engine torques.

high strength and optimized stiffness.

Maximum consistency and reliability throughout the manufacturing process:

all fabrics are precisely cut by numeric control cutting machine

-
highly consistent resin/fabric weight ratio

-
precisely documented quality control checking of lamination schedules

-
curing and heat treatment of the blades performed directly in the moulds, with computerized temperature control and quality recording.

All of our blades are designed with 3D CAD software.
Extensive testing and strength verification is performed via both static tensile and bending load tests while dynamic load tests are performed on a propeller test machine.



HS BLADE
Available in right version, these blades are perfect for high speed fliers.
ST BLADE
Available in right and left-hand versions. These blades have demonstrated remarkable performances, in both the two for (80 hp) and three-blades (100 - 120 hp) applications.
BAY-BLADE
Available in right-hand version. Suitable for highperformance aircrafts with reduced ground clearance.









A)
HYDRAULIC ROTARY UNION
With precision micro-machined seal surfaces. Allows for oil flow through the centre of the reduction drive shaft.

MANUAL HYDRAULIC PUMP
To control the propeller pitch via manual thumb-screw.




C)
ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC PUMP
To control the propeller pitch via manual electric switch. Can be connected to the electronic governor to transform from basic in-flight variable-pitch control to a propeller with constant-speed control.





This highly refined instrument provides electronic pitch control and transforms propellers operated with the electro-hydraulic control into "constant-speed" propellers. The electronic governor is intuitive to use and simple to operate.
It is well proven and has excellent reliability.

PANEL INSTRUMENT to fit a ° 57mm hole







The hydraulic governor is mounted directly to the standard flange on the gear reduction drive of the engines and provides traditional "constant speed" control.

With this hydraulic governor, a rotating joint is no longer needed..






The spinners are supplied complete with plate and trimmed.
On demand the working for the blades passage is carried out.
